Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing about you or your browsing. NopeNotToday does not collect, log, sell, or transmit your browsing history, the websites you visit, the URLs you load, page content, IP address, or any personally identifiable information. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no user account.

How the extension works

All decisions — detecting a cookie banner and clicking a "reject" option, or acting on a "Do Not Sell" link — are made entirely on your device by the extension's content script, using a ruleset stored locally in your browser. Your browsing never leaves your computer for this purpose.

Data stored on your device only

The extension uses your browser's local storage to keep: the cookie-rule list, your settings, your trial start date, a local count of banners rejected, and — if you purchase — your license key. This information stays in your browser and is never sent to us. If you enable browser sync, your browser (not us) may sync your license key and settings across your own devices.

Network connections the extension makes

The extension makes only two kinds of outbound requests, and neither includes any browsing data:

• Rule updates: it downloads an updated public list of cookie-banner rules (a static JSON file). This request contains no information about you or the sites you visit.
• License verification: if you enter a license key, the extension sends that key to Gumroad to confirm your purchase. This uses Gumroad's API and is subject to Gumroad's privacy policy. No browsing data is included.

Payments

Purchases are handled entirely by Gumroad. We never see or store your payment details. See Gumroad's privacy policy.

Permissions

The extension requests access to websites so it can find and dismiss cookie banners on the pages you visit. This access is used only to read on-page consent elements and click reject options. It is never used to read, store, or transmit page content or browsing history.

Children

NopeNotToday is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
